Designer Dinner, How the Raffle Works

Greetings,

Four things to know:

1. Volunteers Power Protospiel

2. Designer Dinner and Mixer

3. How the Raffle Works

4. Thanks to Jinxbot

A Call for Volunteers

WelcomeTable720.jpg

Protospiel San Jose is not for profit. Each year the budget is posted publicly on the website. How well the event turns out due to the efforts our awesome volunteers and contributors. Once again, we need your help to staff the Welcome table/registration desk.

The most important spot at Protospiel is the Welcome table. Volunteers at the table make sure everybody gets a name tag or badge to make conversations and feedback easier (this is also how we count total attendance). They also explain how Protospiel works to new guests. If you are willing to help staff the welcome table please reach out to our volunteer coordinator Jonathan Grothe at GameKrackers@gmail.com

Thank you!

How the Raffle Works

RafflePrizes2017(720).jpg

Please fill out a name tag or pick up your player badge as you come in.

The raffle will work a bit differently this year than in past years.

Roughly every hour we will do a raffle where we pull table numbers. Everyone playing a game at a table number that is drawn will win a raffle prize (except the designer). All players at a winning table will be given a card that they can redeem for a raffle prize anytime that same day. We will have volunteers posted at the prize table to help you out.

For a designer to win, they have to be playing a game at another designers table :-)

In addition, we will pull badge numbers throughout the weekend to win a raffle prize. Anyone who registers for a free player badge will have additional chances to win.

Remind your friends they can sign up for free player badges here:

VIP Players, Game Listings

Four things to know:

1. Grab a VIP Player badge

2. Add your design to the game list

3. Industry Guest: Sarah of Panda GM

4. Thanks to B&B Games

Get VIP Player badge, get a nice thank you.

If you get a VIP player badge, when you pick up your badge on site you can choose from a variety of games as your VIP player bonus. Note that the quantities we have for each game is limited and first come first serve.

The games are provided to Protospiel as a thank you to VIP players for helping pitch in to cover the costs of the event. Consider getting a VIP player badge for yourself or a friend.

Designers, Add your games to the public list.

Please add your games to the prototype database. Doing so will give players a chance to look for games they want to play ahead of time. After the event when somebody is trying to remember the name of the game they played to contact you, they can find your game on the prototype list.

Having your game in the system also allows players to rate that game and leave feedback after playing it.

To list your games, use this link to get to the prototype page. Scroll to the bottom and look for "List Your Prototype".
